2015 Camp Refund Policy

Overnight Camp

We understand that making summer plans several months ahead of time is difficult. If you need to withdraw from camp please be aware that cancellation fees will be applied as follows:

You will receive a full refund if you cancel on or before June 4th.  

If you cancel after the 4th a $75.00 non-refundable deposit will be taken.

To request a refund: Please submit in writing either via email or fax to (310) 338-5915 or email ([email protected] – please send as an attachment). This ensures that an electronic time stamp is placed with the request to prevent disputes over when the request was made.   All refunds will be remitted in a manner in which they were submitted. Monies should be received 2 weeks after the request is submitted.


2015 LMU Volleyball Camp Code of Conduct

LMU Volleyball Camp has a strict code of conduct. This is to ensure that each participant attending the camp will have a safe and enjoyable time. Parents and participants must understand the rules associated with the code of conduct and agree to them before participating in camp.

Each participant is expected to use clean, respectful language during the week. This includes conduct with other participants, coaches, speakers, and directors.  
Drop off and Pick up Procedures
Each participant is to attend all volleyball sessions and is expected to arrive on time. All camps will begin their first session at Gersten/Burns. Drop off locations may change depending on the gym assigned to your child. Participants are not allowed to leave campus at any time unless chaperoned by a qualified and designated camp staff member.  Campers are to remain with their coaches until their parent or guardian picks them up.  Please be on time! Parents are welcome to come into the gym to pick up their child. If a parent chooses to stay in their car, contact with the child via cell phone must be made before the coach will release them to go home. Campers will not be permitted to wait alone by the parking lot for pick up. A member of the LMU Staff will be on duty at that time.

If a camper needs to leave early/arrive late for any reason, the legal parent or guardian must come into Gersten/Burns and physically sign the child out/in with the Camp Director (Megan Jacobson). If you know that your camper will be unable to attend all of the sessions of camp, please let the camp director know ASAP so that we can keep an accurate daily count of our attendees.

Cell Phones/Calling Home
We know participants want to stay in touch with family. Cell phones are permitted during the camp; however, we have the right to restrict the times they may be used. No cell phones are allowed during camp sessions. Participants may only talk on the telephone during free time or other designated times. No text messaging and/or cell phone use is permitted during instruction sessions.   
Laws and Standards
Participants are expected to obey every law governing our land and uphold the standards of good citizenship. This includes no illegal substances, stealing, shoplifting or physically hurting others.  Campers engaging in any of these activities will be asked to leave camp immediately with no refund and may face criminal charges.
Resident Campers Only
Participants are expected to be in their rooms with lights out by 11:00 p.m. each evening. Participants should not be roaming the hallways, hanging out in public areas and/or disturbing the peace of other participants and groups on campus.  There will be camp counselors that stay over night during the resident camp. They are responsible for the safety and well being of each camper. Any participant engaging in inappropriate behavior of any kind will be asked to leave.

University Property
If you lose a room key or damage university property you are responsible for replacing the lost or damaged item. The cost to replace a room key is $14.00.

Liability Statement
Participation in LMU Volleyball camp and related activities involves an inherent risk of physical injury or loss that might be sustained by your child.  In consideration for accepting your child into camp, you assume all risk of injury and loss that may be suffered by yourself or your child.  LMU Volleyball, the Board of Trustees of Loyola Marymount University, its officers, employees, and agents are released and forever discharged from any and all known liability of whatever kind or nature, arising from and by reason of any and all known and unknown, foreseen and unforeseen body and personal injuries, including death, property damage and the consequences therefore resulting in the registrant’s participation in or involvement with this camp or presence on University property, including any failure or equipment or defect in the premises, except to the extent caused solely by the willful and wanton conduct of  the University or LMU Volleyball Camp.

Your child may be photographed or videotaped during LMU Volleyball Camp during the course of camp activities. These photographs may be used for publicity purposes by LMU Volleyball unless written permission to do so is denied by the legal parent or guardian.

A confirmation email will be sent to you when all parts of the application are completed and on file with LMU Volleyball Camps.

Session Fees must be paid in FULL before your child will be allowed to participated in camp.
